It’s against your desires, because:

1) Technique suffers as a result of weakened concentration. Training with poor way is a phenomenal recipe for poor results and great injuries.

2) Pushing yourself becomes impossible Concentrating on anything else than your regular workout makes it impossible to be effective your hardest. I do believe that if you are not gonna do things properly and push yourself you could as well not take action at all.

3) Posture gets smudged. Using your phone tends to slide the neck and throughout the shoulders forward. To counterweight your back has to round out and for that reason you have a terrible posture. Parts of your muscles function best when you've got a proper posture: Neck and back straight, looking forward, weight in addition to your heels. Do you want to practice bad performance? By the way we find people with position more attractive.

4) Can’t get into the flow and you also can’t really enjoy something you aren't experiencing. Minimize distractions while working out.

5) Sitting to swipe the product prevents active recovery. Walking, shaking and breathing deep is awesome for getting rid of excessive tension along with the lactic acid in your muscles. Sitting down and watching in a screen won’t get that done.

6) You won’t notice people who are around you and you fail to be inspired, learn something totally new or be challenged by individuals around you.
Fixes for problems:

Using the phone because feeling bored: Tweak your routine. You don’t have to use the treadmill for A quarter-hour or whatever you do. Do something exciting and enjoyable (or torturous, whichever that suits you). If you don’t know how, get somebody else to do it. If exercising is boring you are doing it wrong.

Tracking your pulse rate with your phone is ok (though investing in a watch is a bit more convenient).

Listen to music, audiobooks or leave your phone with your locker. You will be fine. Do a very important factor at a time. Who knows, you could possibly even find enlightenment without the constant distractions of the phone.
